"The hunt was tough due to the cat's location but that made my experience that much better. I harvested a mature Tom. My guide Joey was phenomenal and positive the whole time. What else can be said. The people and the food are great along with a successful hunt. Can't ask for much better!

"Joey would step between you and a bear if he had to and I watched him do it. Joey is the best houndsman I have ever seen. The only bad thing I have to say about this experience is they put 3 great bears in front of us in 1 day and our hunt was over just like that! Thanks for the great experience. Oh and by the way Rosa is a phenomenal cook! I'm glad I didn't eat as much as my stomach told me to or I wouldn't have been able to move!

We hunted lions for 3 days in some very harsh and extreme country and conditions.  Joey had the dogs on a lion at least once each day but weather, "Murphy" and the lions was not going to make it easy. On our third day out of 7 to hunt, Joey and Mike put the screws to Murphy and the Monster of an Idaho Lion met my wife! "Unbelievable experience!  When I'm wrong, I'm not afraid to admit it.  I really frowned on bear hunting with hounds. It's nothing that it seems.  Anyone that hunts, should try it.  It's as "fair" as any method of bear hunting, if not the fairest. It's not a run them up a tree and shoot them kind of thing.  Nothing at all what I expected, and I will be doing it again!  Joey is a class act, he'll go out of his way to accommodate you, as well as anyone in his outfit!  Travis and Dave are a blast.  The food is exceptional. Rose and her mother will make sure you get full!  Not to mention, a sack lunch packed with your name on it every morning when you walk out the door after breakfast.  Last, but not least... When it comes to turkey hunting, Roe will put them in your lap. His knowledge of the area and the birds are second to none and he's as fun as it gets!  The lodge atmosphere is literally their home life and they treat you like family.  Their children make it fun and entertaining, as well as add the comfort of a loving home. Lastly, if you're lucky enough to see Joey grab his guitar, you're in for a real treat.  He can play and sing better than any live entertainment you've ever heard. Back 30 outfitters are amazing, warm hearted people with a profound experience I would recommend to anyone!!
